Job Description

❖ Job Summary

ABAP Developer’s responsibilities consist of creating various SAP modules with the help of the ABAP programming language and tweaking it as per the client’s requirements. The various aspects of the software development cycle such as planning, coding, implementation, testing, and support must be performed by him.

❖ Job Goals & Objectives

SAP ABAP Developer’s main objective is Consulting with professionals from other departments and those working on specific SAP modules such as SAP FI/CO, MM & HR, to ensure a consistent experience for the various users on the client’s side. In Addition, ensuring that all programs are completed on schedule as per the client’s guidelines and allocate appropriate resources to achieve this.

❖ Key Functional Responsibilities to SAP ABAP Developer

SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for designing, configuring, and testing asset management
Act as the technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions
Understand business requirements and translate them to system design configure/customize the system according to design
Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of the build, system testing, and implementation phases of the project
Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and debug programs
Develop SAP, data conversion, and interface programs conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance tests
Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions
Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability, and archiving) meet all SLAs
Manage operational support, performing work during change windows as well as providing on-call support as required by the team
Undertake performance tuning activities for SAP integration activities
Mentor and coach junior developer resources
Provide consulting services on new and existing initiatives

❖ Work Environment and Conditions

▪ Working conditions will be adequate for an office environment or otherwise.
▪ The Company’s Jeddah headquarters shall be the working base of the SAP ABAP Developer ▪ Official timings shall be following KSA Ministry of Labor laws
▪ Work may require frequent weekend and/or evening attendance.

Qualification Requirements
Education and / or Experience

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, from a reputed University.
At least 5+ years of experience with the latest 3 years being in a similar position. Experience in building Interface technologies using File-based, ALE, IDOC, BAPI, EDI, RFC, ABAP Proxy interfaces, FTP and Web Services

Experience in SAP Eclipse ADT, Web IDE tools

Good knowledge of development tools such as UI5, Fiori, OData Services, Web Dynpro, workflows, and SAP HANA Modeling
Experience in ABAP Core Data Services (CDS Views) and ABAP 7.4

Language Skills

Ability to read, speak and write Arabic and English.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
