Lasher

To perform stevedoring duties primarily focusing on the safe lashing and unlashing of containers on board vessels, supporting terminal operations to achieve consistent and improving levels of performance. Additionally, to carry out any other duties for which competencies are held.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Project Phase:

1. Support Operations Management:
   • Assist in preparing standard operating procedures for lashing and unlashing operations on-board the vessel.
2. Yard Familiarization:
   • Participate in yard familiarization exercises to understand the layout and operational protocols of the terminal.
3. Equipment Tests and Commissioning:
   • Be involved in live equipment tests and commissioning as required (e.g., lashing bars, twist-locks).
4. Training Modules:
   • Engage in various training modules offered by the operations and technical departments to enhance skills and knowledge.
5. Safety Compliance:
   • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols as advised by the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) department.
